Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and mission-driven Biochemist to join our R&D team. You will play a central role in the development of biochemical components for our cancer antigen lateral flow and rapid test platforms. This includes working with antibodies, antigens, conjugation chemistry, buffer systems, and signal optimization for point-of-care diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and purify proteins and antibodies for use in rapid diagnostic tests
- Optimize conjugation of labels (e.g., gold nanoparticles, fluorescent tags) to antibodies or antigens
- Formulate and test buffers, reagents, and membranes for lateral flow or immunoassay platforms
- Analyze biochemical interactions to improve specificity, sensitivity, and stability of assays
- Collaborate with molecular biologists, immunologists, and engineers during product development
- Conduct performance and stability studies under varying environmental conditions
- Document experimental procedures and results with clarity and scientific rigor
- Contribute to technical reports, patent filings, and regulatory documentation
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or M.S. in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related field
- 3+ years of laboratory experience in protein biochemistry, preferably in diagnostics or assay development
- 2+ years of experience in ISO 13485:2016 – Medical devices — Quality management systems
- Strong experience with antibody-antigen interactions, conjugation techniques, and protein characterization (e.g., SDS-PAGE, Western blot, ELISA)
- Familiarity with lateral flow or immunoassay test development is strongly preferred
- Experience with nanoparticle chemistry or fluorescent labeling is a plus
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of troubleshooting complex biochemical systems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced R&D environment
