Position Overview

The Corporate Communications Officer will lead and execute internal and external communication strategies to strengthen the company’s reputation, support product launches, and ensure clear, compliant messaging across all stakeholder groups. This role bridges marketing, regulatory, and executive leadership, ensuring that the company’s innovations in medical devices are communicated with accuracy, professionalism, and impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Communications: Develop and implement communication strategies that align with corporate objectives, product roadmaps, and regulatory standards.
  • External Relations: Manage media relations, press releases, investor updates, and corporate announcements to enhance the company’s visibility and credibility in the medical device industry.
  • Product Communications: Collaborate with R&D, regulatory, and marketing teams to craft clear, compliant messaging for product launches, clinical trial updates, and market education campaigns.
  • Internal Communications: Design and distribute company-wide communications that keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Content Development: Oversee creation of high-quality content including presentations, speeches, newsletters, web copy, thought-leadership articles, and white papers.
  • Crisis & Issues Management: Prepare communication protocols and provide timely responses during product recalls, regulatory issues, or public inquiries.
  • Brand & Reputation Management: Safeguard the corporate brand across all platforms, ensuring consistency, professionalism, and compliance with healthcare communication standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Support communications with regulators, healthcare professionals, patients, distributors, and investors to maintain trust and transparency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5–8 years of communications experience, ideally within medical devices, healthcare, or life sciences.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations (FDA, EMA, ISO, HIPAA) and ability to produce compliant communications.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills with proven ability to translate complex technical/scientific information into accessible content.
  • Experience managing media relations, crisis communications, and corporate branding.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with executives, scientists, engineers, and sales/marketing teams.
  • Proficiency with digital communication platforms, social media, and analytics tools.

Compensation $85,500 to $142,000
