Role Overview
We’re seeking a visionary Head of Investor Relations to lead strategic communications with current and prospective investors and stakeholders. This role is equal parts storyteller, strategist, and financial translator—someone who can articulate our science, our impact, and our roadmap with clarity and conviction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a compelling IR strategy aligned with OncoFirm’s mission, milestones, and funding roadmap
- Own investor-facing materials: pitch decks, earnings narratives, regulatory updates, and strategic messaging
- Cultivate relationships with institutional investors, family offices, and mission-aligned funds
- Lead investor outreach and engagement ahead of funding rounds, regulatory milestones, and product launches
- Partner with legal and finance teams to ensure compliance and transparency in all communications
- Monitor market trends, peer activity, and investor sentiment to inform messaging and positioning
- Support CEO and executive team in high-stakes presentations, roadshows, and media engagements
- Drive capital formation: actively raise funds for OncoFirm’s growth, leveraging your network, credibility, and strategic insight to secure mission-aligned investment
Ideal Candidate
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- 7+ years in investor relations, corporate communications, or capital markets—preferably in diagnostics, biotech, or healthcare
- Proven ability to raise capital for early-stage ventures, with a strong network of investors and a track record of closing funding rounds
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to distill complex science into emotionally resonant narratives
- Deep understanding of regulatory landscapes (FDA, CE) and how they impact investor strategy
- Strategic thinker with a bias for action, empathy, and precision
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, founder-led environment with high creative and scientific standards
- Work with finance and executive teams to build financial forecasts, scenario models, and valuation analyses.
Financial & Strategic Planning
- Ensure investor communications align with corporate goals, regulatory compliance (SEC, FDA, CE, ISO), and market positioning.
- Provide competitive intelligence on capital markets trends, healthcare investment flows, and diagnostics sector benchmarks.
Governance & Compliance
- Support the CEO and CFO in preparing for board meetings, investor calls, and audit requirements.
- Ensure all investor materials comply with legal, regulatory, and corporate governance standards.
