Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Molecular Biologist to join our R&D team. In this role, you will play a critical part in identifying, characterizing, and validating molecular targets for our rapid cancer diagnostic assays. You will work collaboratively with immunologists, biochemists, and assay developers to translate cancer biomarker research into life-changing point-of-care solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and validate tumor-associated biomarkers relevant to various cancer types
- Design and execute molecular assays (e.g., qPCR, RT-PCR, ELISA, Western blot) to evaluate target expression
- Work with immunology and biochemistry teams to ensure optimal antigen-antibody interactions
- Optimize sample preparation and detection protocols for lateral flow or immunoassay platforms
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, maintaining detailed and accurate lab records
- Contribute to scientific publications, grant applications, and regulatory documentation
- Stay current on advancements in cancer biomarker discovery and diagnostics
- Support cross-functional teams with technical expertise in molecular biology
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or M.S. in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related life science field
- 3+ years of experience in oncology, diagnostics, or molecular assay development (industry or academic)
- 2+ years of experience in ISO 13485:2016 – Medical devices — Quality management systems
- Hands-on experience with molecular techniques such as nucleic acid extraction, PCR, and hybridization assays
- Strong understanding of cancer biology and tumor biomarker expressions
- Experience with lateral flow, immunoassays, or rapid diagnostic test development is a plus
- Excellent data analysis, problem-solving, and scientific communication skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
